Today started out just like all the others-with Pierce making a delicious breakfast; today it was pancakes and sausage again! Then we headed to Rutledge Falls. These falls are on privately owned land, and the owner generously lets everyone enjoy them. The trail was really steep, so Jedi, PJ, and I stayed at the top overlook, but Pierce, Draven, & Brody went all the way to the bottom. You can swim in the pool made by the waterfall, but we decided it might be a little cold this early in the season!
The area around the waterfall was beautiful. The house was an old, brick, civil war era home, and they had this cute red barn in one of the fields. The sun was great today and as we were walking back to the car I just thought this scene was really pretty...
The boys are totally exhausted! So exhausted that we can't get them to go to sleep. Urgghh!

OHMYGOSH! How wonderful! Sounds like a pretty typical, fun family adventure. It took me a while to get around to visiting the blog, but I'm almost glad I waited so I could see it all at once ... well almost all. The picture a stupendous! What a cute little family you guys have! Can't wait to hear what the boys have to say about all of it. Looking forward to seeing all of you as soon as everyone is rested enough to back to his or her sweet self. Aren't you so excited you went? Love ya, M
Aunt Lanie & Uncle Mylin say WOW!! We are so proud that Brody went down the water slide by himself :). And we are also proud of him AND Draven for not being scared when the tour guide turned off the lights in the cave . . . Aunt Lanie won't be joining anybody in a cave anytime soon [well, except Jesus, of course, but I don't think there are caves in heaven!!]. The trip sounds like an absolutely treasure of a time and we are proud of you all for making it AND bloggin it for us! XXOO, please tell the boys that's hugs & kisses; also tell them that Fire Marshall Bill says "kids, let me tell you something! don't try this at home, I'm a fire marshall!!" :)
